These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of thehealthcarereboot.com, our community at community.thehealthcarereboot.com, our events, emails, and free resources (together, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Reboot Healthcare PBC ("we," "us," or "our") and support the book The Healthcare Reboot by Laura Landry and S. Bre Jackson.

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to join the community. The website and free resources are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children.

Not professional advice

The Services share ideas, analysis, and opinions about how healthcare works. Nothing in the Services is medical, legal, financial, or individualized coverage advice. Using the Services does not create a professional relationship with us or the authors. For decisions about your health, coverage, or legal rights, consult a qualified professional. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Your community account

If you join the community, you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Please give accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use.

Community guidelines

Our community is a place for honest, constructive conversation about improving healthcare. When you participate, you agree to:

• Treat others with respect, even when you disagree

• Not post anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or defamatory

• Not share protected health information or confidential information about patients, employers, or anyone else

• Not share anything you don't have the right to share, including other people's copyrighted material

• Not spam, advertise, or recruit without our permission

• Not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the Services

We may remove content or suspend or remove members who violate these guidelines, at our discretion.

Your content

You own what you post.By posting in the community, you give us permission to host, display, reproduce, and share that content as reasonably necessary to operate the community and Services. We won't use your posts in our books, marketing, or other public materials without asking you first.

You may be able to edit or delete your own posts through the community features available to you.

Our content

The Services, including the book excerpts, free chapter, text, graphics, logos, and other materials, are owned by us, the authors, or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Free resources, like the Chapter 1 sample, are for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute them without written permission. You're welcome to quote brief passages with attribution, for reviews or discussion.

Events

Our live events may be recorded. When recording is planned, we will provide notice before or at the start of the event. By participating with your camera, microphone, or chat on, you agree that your participation may appear in the recording.

Links to other sites

The Services link to other websites, such as Amazon. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep information accurate and the Services running, but we don't guarantee that they will always be available, error-free, or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Reboot Healthcare PBC and the authors arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid to us, if any, for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Ending access

You may stop using the Services or leave the community at any time. We may suspend or end access to the Services, or change or discontinue them, at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the U.S., you may also have rights under the laws of your country that these Terms don't override.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after changes means you accept them.
